Product Introduction

As a high-performance sealing component, the metal E-ring stands out with its unique "E"-shaped cross-sectional structure. This design endows it with excellent elastic compensation capability, enabling it to closely fit the sealing surface during assembly and working condition changes. It effectively offsets gaps caused by vibration, temperature differences, or component tolerances, fundamentally reducing the risk of leakage.
Its core advantages lie in multi-dimensional adaptability to working conditions: Made of high-quality metal materials (such as stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, etc.), it can withstand extreme temperature ranges from -270°C to 650°C and easily cope with system pressures up to 60MPa. Even in harsh environments like vacuum, corrosion, or impact, it can still maintain stable sealing performance. In addition, the high strength and wear resistance of metal materials significantly extend the service life of the component, reducing downtime losses caused by frequent replacements.
Metal E-rings are widely used in fields such as petrochemicals, aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy and electricity. They are especially suitable for key parts requiring long-term sealing, such as hydraulic systems, valves, pipeline flanges, and pressure vessels. During the production process, from raw material selection to precision processing (such as laser cutting, precision stamping), and then to strict dimensional inspection and performance testing, high-standard quality control systems are followed throughout to ensure that each product can meet the stringent requirements of industrial-grade sealing, providing reliable guarantee for the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

 

Types:

Metal E-Ring for Internal Pressure : a resilient internally pressurized static face seal open on the inside, enabling it to bear the same pressure as its internal operational conditions. Ideal for assemblies, pressure vessels, jet engines, fuel injectors, lighter flanges, etc.


Metal E-Ring for External Pressure : a robust externally pressurized static face seal open on the outside, designed to withstand the same pressure as its external operational conditions. It comes with good springback properties to accommodate thermal cycles.

 

Properties:

· High springback/low load

· Seal profile and wall thickness designed to control loading and springback

· Available for internal and external pressure

· Range of materials (Alloy X750, 718, Waspaloy and other exotic metals)

· Large and segmented diameters available (>2000 mm/ >78.74 in)

· Temperature range: from -273°C to 730°C (-460°F to 1350°F)

· Pressure range: 100+ bar (1,450 PSI)

· Leak rate: approximately ≤ 25 cc/min @ 50 psig Nitrogen per inch of diameter. The actual leak rate will depend on seal load, surface finish, and surface treatment.

Optional Features:

· Tribological wear-resistant coatings available
